ALGEBRA 2A                                                                      3 Credits

Course No.:             80                                                           1 Semester

Grade Level:            9-12

Prerequisite:            none

 

Description:             This course is a prerequisite for Geometry or Algebra 3.  It should be of interest to students wishing to pursue a college or technical education after high school.  A traditional text will be used which includes topics such as graphing,  linear equations, exponents, polynomials, systems of equations, quadratic equations, and an introduction to functions. **A graphing calculator is required..

 

ALGEBRA 2B                                                                       3 Credits

Course No.:             81                                                           1 Semester

Grade Level:            9-12

Prerequisite:            Algebra 1 or 8th Grade Algebra 1

Prerequisite:            Algebra 2 with a grade of C or higher

 

Description:             This course is an advanced algebra course. It should be of interest to anyone wishing to pursue a math or science vocation. Topics include mathematical statements, solving equations and inequalities, sequences of numbers, matrices, systems of equations, quadratics, functions, logarithms, combinations, statistics, and probability. **A graphing calculator is required.

 

CALCULUS                                                                         3 Credits

Course No.:             87                                                           1 Semester

Grade Level:            12                                                                Elective

Prerequisite:            College Algebra & College Trigonometry

 

Description:             This course is open only to seniors who have successfully completed College Algebra and Trigonometry.  This course will be a general introduction to the study of calculus which includes derivatives and integrals. This course will NOT offer college credit. **A graphing calculator is required.
